ABOUT AMBER

Amber's interest in cooking started as a child, watching Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals with her mother. But it wasn't until college that she started to cook seriously (there's only so much fast food one can handle on a college student's budget). She started small, making her mother's Mexican rice or putting together spaghetti with ground beef. Boxed brownie mix was always in her pantry if she ever wanted a quick treat.

Amber has since taught herself to cook a lot more than rice and spaghetti, and continues to expand her knowledge almost daily. She ditched her boxed brownie mix (although it's still a favorite) and tackled baking macarons.

When she is not trying out recipes or visiting new restaurants, you'll find her watching TV with her husband or cuddling with her schnauzer poodle, Jack.
